Terms and conditions
Last updated: 20 October 2026
These terms govern use of the ZigZag app for iOS and Android. The available features depend on the installed version, the area consulted and, for some features, the active offer. Read them together with the privacy notice.
1. Who provides the service
ZigZag is published by The Stolen Spot S.r.l., Via Fontanabrolo 11, 24128 Bergamo (BG), Italy. For support, questions about these terms or complaints, you can email info@thestolenspot.com.
2. What ZigZag offers
ZigZag lets you explore the map, search for places and view information about parking and restricted traffic zones (ZTLs). Maps, search and favourites are free. Versions that include them may offer a vehicle profile, personalised ZTL answers, directions or navigation, and reports. Some of these features require ZigZag Pro. The app indicates when a feature is unavailable, an area is not covered or the data does not allow a definite conclusion.
Information depends on the available sources and may change. ZigZag does not issue permits, exemptions or authorisations to enter a ZTL and does not guarantee parking availability. Before entering or parking, check the signs, official measures and announcements applicable to the place, vehicle and time of travel. Enter correct vehicle data and details of any permits: a personalised answer also depends on this information. While driving, comply with road traffic rules and use the device only in permitted ways.
Optional vehicle environmental lookup
Where available in your version, you can enter an Italian plate and vehicle type to request Euro class and CO₂ details through a third-party vehicle-data provider. Lookup is optional: you can enter details manually. Consult details only for a vehicle you legitimately use; do not use the feature to collect information about other people or for bulk requests.
Lookup does not prove vehicle ownership or grant access permission. Details may be unavailable, outdated or require verification; check them in the review and correct them using the registration document before saving. A result may come from temporary storage rather than a new source query. Source availability may vary; manual entry remains available. Processing of the plate and results is explained in the privacy notice. These provisions do not limit mandatory rights and guarantees under applicable law.
3. Accounts and submitted content
The app may create an anonymous technical identity; some features allow sign-in with Apple or Google. You are responsible for use of your device and the credentials of the relevant account. If a version allows you to submit reports, text or images, submit only relevant, lawful content that you have the right to share. Do not include other people’s personal data without a valid reason. We may review and remove unlawful or clearly irrelevant content, and limit abuse of the service, within the limits of applicable law.
By submitting content, you authorise us to retain and use it to the extent needed to handle the report, verify or improve service data and respond to support requests. This authorisation does not transfer ownership of the content. To request deletion of your account and associated data, follow the deletion instructions.
4. ZigZag Pro, trials and subscriptions
The Pro features actually included, the price in your currency, the duration, any usage limits, and the conditions of a trial or promotion are shown in the app and by App Store or Google Play before purchase. A personalised answer is available only where the relevant ZTL is covered and the information is sufficient; a subscription does not turn an uncertain answer into an access permit. In-app navigation, where provided, may also depend on the app version, enabled areas and limits stated in the offer.
Auto-renewing subscriptions are charged and renewed under the conditions shown by the store. If a free trial is available and you do not want the subsequent charge, cancel the subscription through the store before the deadline stated by the store. You can manage, cancel or request restoration of a purchase in App Store or Google Play settings and, where available, in the app’s Subscription section. Uninstalling ZigZag or deleting your account does not by itself cancel a subscription. Any refunds, withdrawal rights and guarantees provided by law remain applicable; for a service issue, you can also contact us at the address above.
The financial conditions and benefits communicated at purchase remain valid for the period already paid for, except as required by law or managed by the store. We do not change that period retrospectively by publishing a new version of this page.
5. Proper use and availability
Use ZigZag for lawful purposes. Do not try to compromise the app, accounts or services, bypass access controls or quotas, or send automated requests that harm the service. We may apply proportionate measures to prevent abuse, protect other users and meet legal obligations.
We work to keep the service functioning and correct errors, but maps, data, coverage, networks and third-party services may experience interruptions or updates. If a purchased feature is not provided correctly, contact us: mandatory consumer remedies and guarantees remain unaffected. No provision of these terms excludes liability that we cannot exclude by law.
6. Content rights and personal data
The software, ZigZag brand and original app content belong to The Stolen Spot S.r.l. or their respective owners. You may use the app for its personal features under these terms and the stores’ rules; you do not acquire rights to code, brands or third-party data. Personal data processing is explained in the privacy notice.
Updated versions may include onboarding and usage measurement through Google Analytics for Firebase, as well as introduction or offer variants and experiments. These measurements do not by themselves change prices, access entitlements or purchase conditions: the offer and conditions shown before confirmation in the store apply. The data, pseudonymous identifiers, providers, retention and rights are described in the privacy notice. The analytics integration described does not include screen recording.
7. Minors and updates to the terms
Information about maps and ZTLs may also interest minors. For purchases, minors must follow their store’s rules and obtain permission from the person with parental responsibility where needed.
We may update these terms when the service or legislation changes. The date above indicates the published version. For material changes affecting users’ rights, we will give the notice required by law, including through the app where possible. Mandatory consumer rights under applicable law always remain protected.
